Netflix is giving us the first look at what Ryan Murphy will be bringing to their platform with the eight-episode series, The Politician. From the looks of it, drama and bad behavior will definitely be on display.
The series marks Ryan Murphy’s first since signing his massive $300 million deal with the streamer. The show follows Payton Hobart (Ben Platt), a young man with a dream of becoming president of the United States. The series will track his growth as he runs in different elections over the course of his life, from student government to the Oval Office.
The series also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Lucy Boynton, Dylan McDermott, and Zoey Deutch. Murphy has described the show as a satirical class takedown with a modern twist.
The Politician begins streaming on September 27.
