The Network With The Most Nominations Went Home Empty Handed At The Golden Globes

When the Golden Globe nominations came out, HBO had a lot of bragging rights with a total of 14 nominations. Last night those bragging rights came to an end when the network failed to take home the gold.

The network received nominations for The Night Of, Westworld, Game of Thrones and Veep but they failed to garner any wins. This shouldn’t be a knock at their quality since they were good enough to make the cut but this is the second year and a row that a network with the most nominations went home empty handed. Last year, Netflix led the TV nominations with 8 but went home without a single prize.

The TV wins were dominated by FX, Netflix and AMC last night and FX, which was a distant second with 9 nominations going into the night, was the big winner with 4 awards.
