The Passage Premieres Well For FOX On Monday Night

FOX had good Monday night with The Resident returning strong and the series premiere of The Passage posting solid premiere numbers as well.

On FOX, The Resident returned from its winter hiatus to kick off a solid Monday night and scored a 1.1 rating in adults 18-49 and 5.52 million viewers, making it the sophomore drama’s highest-rated episode since its season premiere last September. It was followed by the series premiere of The Passage at 9 PM, which scored a 1.3 rating and 5.22 million viewers. It came in just a tenth below the 1.4 average that 9-1-1 had scored in the same time slot this past fall. It also built on its lead-in in terms of its demo numbers and that’s always encouraging.

On NBC, America’s Got Talent: The Champions led the night for the second week in a row but came down from its premiere’s 1.8 to a 1.7 and 9.96 million viewers this week. Manifest took a bigger hit and broke its recent 1.1 streak by dropping two-tenths to a season-low 0.9. Could the shine be coming off of this show? It’s still doing well in delayed viewing but NBC might be a little concerned that it has dropped off heavily from the first few weeks it aired back in the fall.

On ABC, The Bachelor managed to tick up from its season premiere’s 1.5 to a 1.6 rating with 5.60 million viewers. The Good Doctor returned to round out ABC’s night at 10 PM., and scored a solid 1.2 demo score and 6.21 million viewers, up from its fall finale’s 1.1.

On CBS, The Neighborhood returned up two-tenths from its last episode’s 1.0 to a 1.2 demo score and 6.88 million viewers. Happy Together (0.9, 5.14 million viewers) also moved up week-to-week with its season finale, while Magnum P.I. (0.7, 5.93 million viewers) returned down a tenth. Bull held steady with another 0.8 demo score and 7.02 million viewers.
