Fresh off Golden Globe nominations (best comedy and for star Rachel Brosnahan) as well as SAG mentions for comedy series and actress in a comedy (Brosnahan and Alex Borstein), Amazon has renewed The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for a fourth season. The series recently returned for its third season on December 6.
Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, Daniel Palladino had this to say about the renewal:
“We were thrilled to hear that for the fourth time, we do not have to pack up and vacate the premises. We’d like to thank Amazon for all their faith and support, their partnership and enthusiasm, and for letting us hang with our favorite people, the cast and crew of Maisel, for a little while longer.”
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has already won an Emmy, three Golden Globes, five Critics’ Choice Awards, two PGA awards, a WGA prize, and a prestigious Peabody Award. Season three of the series currently has an impressive 89 percent and 82 percent rating among critics and viewers on Rotten Tomatoes.
Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino recently renewed their overall deal with Amazon and in addition to another season of Mrs. Maisel, the duo is also prepping an art drama for the streamer.
