Terminator: Dark Fate Hollywood Premiere Canceled Due To Getty Brush Fires

Los Angeles has been burning in recent weeks due to a series of brush fires and due to the ongoing Getty Fire which ignited overnight in the Sepulveda Pass connecting West L.A. to the San Fernando Valley, Paramount and Skydance Media have decided to cancel tonight’s Hollywood premiere for Terminator: Dark Fate.

The premiere was set to take place at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Imax on Hollywood Boulevard, with an after-party to take place at the Tropicana in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. In a show of great charity, Paramount has decided to donate food intended for the after-party to the American Red Cross, which is serving those affected by the fires.

The California Highway Patrol closed the southbound 405 Freeway from Ventura Freeway to Sunset Boulevard in L.A. this morning. At least five homes have burned and mandatory evacuations are in place for more than 10,000 homes in the Brentwood and Westwood area due to the fire.

Terminator: Dark Fate opens this Friday with previews set for 7:00 PM on Halloween night.
