Star Hits Series Low On Wednesday

Star, which is normally a very steady performer for FOX on Wednesday nights, came down to a series low this week on the network. To be fair, Wednesday was Halloween so a lot of show came in a lot lower than normal and should rebound next week.

On FOX, Empire was  down four-tenths from a 1.6 to a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.21 million viewers, and Star similarly returned from a week off due to the World Series with a 0.9 and 3.38 million viewers, three-tenths less than its previous episode’s 1.2, which makes it a series low for the show.

On ABC, The Goldbergs (1.0, 4.78 million viewers), American Housewife (0.9, 4.16 million viewers), and Modern Family (1.2, 5 million viewers) were also all down two or three-tenths, while Single Parents (0.9, 3.72 million viewers) fell a tenth. A Million Little Things, however, stayed consistent and maintained a 0.8 demo score and 3.31 million viewers.

On CBS, Survivor fell two-tenths to a 1.3 demo score and 7.07 million viewers, but SEAL Team (0.8, 5.41 million viewers) and Criminal Minds (0.7, 4.39 million viewers) held steady.

On NBC, Chicago Med (1.1, 7.69 million viewers), Chicago Fire (1.2, 7.91 million viewers), and Chicago P.D. (1.1, 6.95 million viewers) all came down a tenth or two but Fire and P.D. won their respective time slots and combined, all three gave NBC the win in total viewers for the night and a tie with FOX for no. 1 in adults 18-49.

The CW wisely took the night off this week and aired reruns of Charmed and Legacies with Riverdale and All American returning next week.
