Paramount Pictures is back from the drawing board with a new trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie and it features a redesign for Sonic after a massive fan outcry led to the film being shifted from November of this year to February 2020.
At first, I didn’t think the first design looked all that bad but seeing pictures of the old design and the new one side by side, this new incarnation looks vastly superior and is definitely closer to the Sonic we all know and love from our childhood.
Sonic the Hedgehog follows the adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound human best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Neal McDonough, Adam Pally, and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
Directed by Jeff Fowler, Sonic the Hedgehog hits screens on February 14, 2020.
