ABC is enjoying living the single life. The network has given a full season order to its freshman comedy, Single Parents. The back-nine order brings the season one episode count to 22 episodes.
Single Parents is the first freshman comedy of the season to receive a back-nine order. The series trails only Tuesday’s debut of ABC’s The Conners in comedy premieres this season, though that doesn’t say a whole lot. New half-hours have struggled particularly hard this fall. Still, the show has earned an average of 5.6 million viewers and a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 through its first three episodes.
