Netflix has renewed its buzzy British comedy-drama, Sex Education, for a third season. The streamer made the news after the launch of its second season in January.
Starring Gillian Anderson, Sex Education is one of those Netflix shows that the platform likes to brag about in terms of numbers, even though they say they don’t release viewership data. Netflix released streaming data for Sex Education at the start of the year and revealed that the series was on pace to hit 40 million views within a month of launching in January.
During its second season, the character of Otis Milburn, played by Asa Butterfield, must master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his girlfriend Ola, played by Patricia Allison, while also dealing with his now strained relationship with Maeve, played by Emma Mackey.
Sex Education, which is written and created by Laurie Nunn and is directed by Ben Taylor, Alice Seabright, and Sophie Goodhart, is currently streaming on Netflix.
