SEAL Team Renewed For Season 3 By CBS

CBS has handed out a season 3 renewal to SEAL Team, starring David Boreanaz.

SEAL Team follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous missions that our country can ask of them. The series co-stars Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks, Jessica Paré and Judd Lormand.

SEAL Team averages 5 million total live viewers and pulls a 0.76 in the 18-49 demographic. Adding in delayed viewing and additional platforms, the show reaches 8.6 million viewers. While the show’s ratings have declined double digits in its second season, it is owned in-house and boasts a star with international appeal.

Fun fact about its star, David Boreanaz. The actor has been on TV steadily since Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1997. Boreanaz was on that series for three seasons before jumping to its spinoff, Angel, for five seasons in 1999.  Angel ended in 2004 and Boreanaz then jumped to the procedural series Bones in 2005, which ran 12 seasons and ended in 2017. SEAL Team followed the same year and is on its way to its third season.
