Reel TV Ratings: (Thursday) – Champions Doesn’t Win The Gold On NBC

NBC premiered their new comedy Champions but it didn’t exactly perform like one.

The show drew a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and just under 3 million viewers, in line with the low numbers Great News and AP Bio did in the timeslot earlier in the season. Superstore was up a tenth of a point week to week at a 1.1 demo rating & 3.07 million viewers, while AP Bio (0.8, 2.64 million viewers) and Will & Grace (1.1, 4.18 million viewers) were steady. Chicago Fire fared better with its 1.3 demo rating & 6.47 million viewers. This is the show’s best rating since the season premiere.

CBS led the night with The Big Bang Theory (2.6, 13.82 million viewers), Young Sheldon (2.2, 12.59 million viewers), Life in Pieces (1.2, 6.98 million viewers) and SWAT (1.0, 5.67 million viewers) all rising a tenth while Mom was even at an 1.5 demo rating & 9.29 million viewers.

Grey’s Anatomy tied a series low at an 1.7  demo rating & 7.13 million viewers on ABC, and Scandal (1.1, -0.1, 4.75 million viewers) and How to Get Away with Murder (0.9, -0.2, 3.46 million viewers) also declined vs. last week’s hyped crossover.

Also declining on FOX was Gotham, which was off a tenth at an 0.7 demo rating & 2.45 million viewers.

On The CW, Supernatural dipped a tenth to an 0.5 demo rating & 1.74 million viewers  and Arrow  was steady at an 0.4 demo rating & 1.35 million viewers.
