Reel TV Ratings: (Sunday) – American Idol Tops Sunday Ratings

American Idol continued to be relatively steady for ABC and in the process, it topped Sunday night in the 18-49 demo.

Although down slightly week to week, the singing competition run the night with a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.17 million viewers, down 0.1 from a week earlier. Ending the night for the network was Deception, which was also down a tenth on at a 0.7 demo rating and 3.74 million viewers. The good news, if there is any, is that the series is winning the 10 PM hour against the other networks.

On CBS, Instinct bounced back some from the previous week’s 0.6, rising three-tenths of a point to a 0.9 demo rating and 8.20 million viewers. NCIS: Los Angeles (0.9, 8.06 million viewers) and Madam Secretary (0.6, 6.25 million viewers) each rose a tenth.

On FOX, Bob’s Burgers (0.8, 1.73 million viewers) and The Last Man on Earth (0.7, 1.54 million viewers) improved a tenth apiece, while The Simpsons (0.9, 2.12 million viewers), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (0.8, 1,73 million viewers) and Family Guy (0.9, 1.98 million viewers) were even with the previous week.

On NBC, Timeless held steady at a 0.6 demo rating and 2.48 million viewers.
