Reel TV Ratings: (Monday) – The Resident & Lucifer See Gains Week To Week

After being down last week, FOX saw gains from both The Resident and Lucifer last night.

Lucifer (0.8 rating among adults 18-49, 3.24 million viewers) and The Resident (0.9, 4.23 million viewers) each rose a tenth of a point vs. last week. So where do they stand as far as being renewed? I think Lucifer is definitely safe because it has more seasons under its built but I can see it being sent to Friday nights (with Gotham if FOX does the right thing and renews it). The Resident is a toss up for me at this point. It seems to have a steady and loyal fanbase but I wonder if its fluctuating demo score is strong enough to warrant a renewal. It’s pretty good by FOX standards and I can see it pairing well with 9-1-1 next season but I guess we have to wait and see.

On NBC, The Voice was the night’s top show at a 2.3 demo rating and 10.67 million viewers, even with last week’s fast nationals (it adjusted up in the finals). Good Girls is at a 1.0 demo rating and 4.27 million viewers, currently down 0.1 vs. the early numbers a week ago but even with its final rating.

On ABC, American Idol (1.6, 7.74 million viewers) and The Good Doctor (1.6, 9.13 million viewers) both dipped by 0.2 week to week but still placing solid numbers for the network.

On CBS, Kevin Can Wait (1.0, 5.92 million viewers), Man with a Plan (0.9, 5.62 million viewers) and Superior Donuts (0.8, 5.11 million viewers) all lost a tenth, while Living Biblically (0.7, 4.21 million viewers) and Scorpion (0.8, 4.89 million viewers) were flat.

On The CW, Legends of Tomorrow held at a 0.4 demo rating and 1.27 million viewers and iZombie equaled its preliminary 0.2 demo score and 760,000 viewers from a week ago (it adjusted up to a 0.3 in the finals).
