Reel TV Ratings: (Friday) – Taken Season 2 Premiere Opens Lower On New Night

As usual, CBS led all shows on Friday and the season 2 premiere of Taken came in low on its new night, even by Friday night standards.

Taken opened with a 0.5 demo score and 2.76 million viewers on NBC, half its Season 1 average (it aired on Mondays last spring) and 0.3 below its finale. Rating declines were pretty much a given with the show’s move to Friday, but that’s still not an encouraging start for the series. Blindspot hit a 0.7 demo rating and 3.57 million viewers, steady with its usual performance.

On CBS, MacGyver was up a tenth to a season high with a 1.0 demo rating and 8.09 million viewers, while Hawaii Five-0 dipped two tenths (1.0, 9.26 million viewers) and Blue Bloods (1.0, 10.02 million viewers) was steady.

On ABC, Agents of SHIELD (0.6, 2.29 million viewers) was off a tenth from a week ago. On The CW, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (0.2, 700,000 viewers) was steady week to week.
