Ray Fisher Claims Joss Whedon Was “Abusive” & “Unprofessional” During Justice League Reshoots

Ray Fisher is firing shots this week. The actor, who plays Cyborg in 2017’s Justice League, recently has used his Twitter to let his true feelings about Joss Whedon be known. As you know, Whedon stepped in for Zack Snyder when the director had to exit Justice League during filming due to a personal family tragedy. Whedon allegedly changed a lot of Snyder’s vision & commissioned many reshoots & the end result was the muddled mess we got in November of 2017. Since then, we know we’re getting Snyder’s Cut on HBO Max & all will be ok for DC fans but that hasn’t stopped Fisher from speaking out.

The first thing he did was post a video from a Comic-Con panel where he was asked about Whedon & the reshoots. On the video, it’s a glowing review of the director but in the new caption, Fisher says he takes back everything in the video. That includes saying “Joss Whedon was a good guy.” You can check out that video below:

That brings us today as Fisher posted the following tweet to prove he’s no fan of Whedon:

Yikes! Geoff Johns & Jon Berg were producers on Justice League & he seems to believe they enabled Whedon’s alleged behavior. Fisher doesn’t elaborate beyond this tweet & all I know is he must be feeling bold lately. To his credit, his character reportedly suffered the most due to Whedon’s reshoots so that could explain the hostility. Originally, Snyder wanted to have Fisher’s Cyborg character be at the forefront of the movie and it’s something he teased many times.

As for the people called out in the tweet, Joss Whedon was asked to comment by many publications and decided not to do so while producer Jon Berg has said his claims were “categorically untrue” and he went on to only say that “I remember Fisher being upset that we wanted him to say ‘Booyaa,’ which is a well-known saying of Cyborg in the animated series.” Beyond this comment though, no one is really speaking on Fisher’s claims, including his castmates but if you watch that first video closely from Comic-Con when Fisher is supporting Whedon, Jason Momoa’s body language speaks volumes.

All this drama might turn out better than that Snyder Cut everyone has been begging for…
