The Batman Shutdown After Robert Pattinson Tests Positive For COVID-19

I was just going to update our original story but haven’t gotten confirmation if multiple people tested positive but “Variety” is reporting that The Batman star, Robert Pattinson, tested positive for COVID-19. The news comes soon after it was announced that production was on pause after a crewmember tested positive. As of now, production is shut down.

According to “Variety”, the studio did not immediately respond to a request for comment about whether or not Pattinson had contracted the virus, nor did a representative for the actor. News of the shutdown comes days after the gritty comic book adventure went back into production following months-long filming delays due to the pandemic. Judging from what I’m hearing, Pattinson may be the crewmember from the previous story but the info is starting to leak out that it’s for sure him.

Previously, a Warner Bros. spokesperson had this to say about the pause:

“A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.”

Still no word on how long production will be on pause but we will update you as soon as information becomes available.
