The Raid Remake In The Works With Frank Grillo

A U.S. remake (or “reimagining”)  is officially happening with Frank Grillo attached to star and Joe Carnahan (The Grey) attached to direct.

Carnahan made the announcement on Wednesday over social media in a video on Instagram which also featured Grillo.

The original film, directed by Gareth Evans, was released in 2011 and told the story of a S.W.A.T. team fighting for their survival inside a tenement run by a ruthless mob boss. Iko Uwais starred in the film and actually performed most of his own stunts and fight choreography.
