Patriots Day Movie Sets Staying in Boston

Looks like Patriots Day will continue to leave its mark on Boston long after it leaves the box office. Two of its film sets are here to stay. Built on the South Shore to recreate the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street and a residential street in Watertown, both sets are located at Union Point, near the old South Weymouth Naval air base.

LStar purchased the sets from the film’s production company after they wrapped shooting. Managing partner Kyle Corkum, said they intended to “retain the Boylston Street and Watertown sets so they could be re-used as back lots when people are filming at Union Point.” The sets will remain in place and be available to people making movies and TV programs “until the day comes that they cannot be used any longer.”
