Hulu just acquired one of the most talked-about films of 2019 to stream on their service. It has been announced that the Oscar-winning sensation, Parasite, will stream exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. starting April 8.
The upcoming streaming run for Parasite comes as the Korean-language picture continues to rake in box office revenue in U.S. theaters. The film is approaching $50 million in the states as moviegoers continue to discover the movie that took home four Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Parasite has been available on digital and Bluray since January but the film is continuing to see a strong run in theaters thanks to its major wins at this year’s Oscars.
Coming to Hulu will open the film up to an even wider audience and it will be interesting to see how many people will stream the film when it becomes available. Many people believe that the success Parasite will open the door to other foreign language films hitting it big domestically.
