Obi-Wan Disney+ Series Still In Development Phase

A few months back it was reported that the Obi-Wan Disney+ series was slated to be released in 2022. Director Deborah Chow has confirmed the project is still in the development phase at Disney.

During a panel for The Mandalorian, Chow stated,

“We have a little more to do than that, but we’re in development.”

Production on the long-awaited series was originally expected to begin sometime this year, however, things changed January creative differences came into play. Ewan McGregor, shot down the rumors stating that they are “retooling the series”

Deborah Chow is on board to direct every episode of the series as previously directing multiple episodes of the highly acclaimed. The Mandalorian.
