Another sequel for Now You See Me is in the works. The third film in the franchise, produced by Lionsgate, will see the band of criminal magicians continue their quest to steal from the rich in Now You See Me 3.
The news was confirmed today to Deadline that Neil Widener and Gavin James will pen the script. Widener and James have just finished writing the script for Battle of Alcatraz and were recently hired for San Andreas 2 for New Line. It is expected that most of the cast from Now You See Me 2 and its original will reprise their roles. Jon M. Chu will direct the film and a release date has not yet been set.
