No Time To Die Officially Delays Release Until October

We all saw this coming but now it’s official: The latest Bond film, No Time To Die, has delayed its release once again. The film was set to open on April 2, 2021.

No Time To Die will now open on October 8, 2021. In early 2020, No Time to Die became the first Hollywood blockbuster to become a casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic when its original April 2020 release date was pushed back to November 2020. The film was then moved to April 2, 2021, but with COVID-19 cases still spiking and its key overseas market still on lockdown (The U.K.) MGM is moving the film again to protect its investment.

MGM believes this film can be a billion-dollar worldwide earner during a healthy box office climate & that’s why it hasn’t been sold to streaming (although Apple TV+ offered up to $600 million to make that happen). Now, it does cost money for MGM to keep delaying the film but I suppose it’s worth it for them in the end although I hear this is going to cost them dearly as well. Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the 25th installment in the iconic spy franchise returns Daniel Craig as Bond for his last hurrah as the character. The film also stars Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Waltz, Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, and Lashana Lynch.
