New Jersey Movie Theaters To Reopen On Friday

As a resident of the tri-state area, this news was both surprising and a delight. Governer Phil Murphy announced that New Jersey theaters have been given the green light to reopen this Friday. This much-anticipated news comes after California set guidelines for Friday reopenings in San Francisco and other area locales.

The reason this news is huge for movie theaters in the Garden State is because the opening of theaters coincides with one of the most anticicapted films of the year, Christopher Nolan’s spy thriller, Tenet.

Despite the opening of New Jersey theaters, it does not signal the opening of New York. Unfortunately, Governor Andrew Cuomo has yet to confirm similar plans for the big apple, which is still recovering from shutdown orders for a variety of businesses throughout the state.
