Netflix Negotiating To Attain Rights To The Woman In The Window

One of the films that was set to possibly receive a big release in 2019 was The Woman in the Window. After being pushed to 2020, the film has yet to release and a change of the studio seems to be the next step for the film.

Netflix is finalizing an acquisition deal that will move The Woman in the Window out of Disney-owned 20th Century Studios and into a new window, as a global Netflix event film.

The Woman in the Window stars Amy Adams and is directed by Joe Wright, and the last of the book-based movie projects left behind by Elizabeth Gabler when Disney acquired Fox and abruptly shuttered her Fox 2000 division.

The streaming service is finalizing the deal so it is unclear when it will release the film, which is already completed and awaiting a release.
