Netflix has acquired Brian Knappenberger’s latest documentary, Nobody Speak: Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and Trials of a Free Press. The film debuted this year at the Sundance Film Festival as part of the U.S. documentary competition and explores last year’s court case Bollea v. Gawker and the aftermath, specifically the fall of Gawker.com.
Terry Bollea, best known to the world as professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, sued the media company after it published an explicit video of the wrestler having sex. He was awarded $140 million by the court and Gawker.com was no more. Their last post was on August 22, 2016, despite having been purchased by Univision last August.
