The Lost City of Z Announced to Close New York Film Festival

The annual Oscar Season is upon us. We are just one month away from the 54th New York Film Festival. While Ava DuVernay’s documentary The 13th, the first nonfiction film to kick off the festival in its history, chronicles the history of racial inequality in the U.S. with an in-depth look at the country’s prison system.

The Lost City of Z, written and directed by James Gray (The Immigrant, Two Lovers) will close the festival. The film is  based on journalist David Grann’s nonfiction book of the same name, will make its world premiere at the festival’s final screening on Saturday, October 15.
