Emma Watson’s The Colony Bombs at UK Box Office

Emma Watson’s The Colony has bombed at the UK box office, earning a paltry $81.60 in its opening weekend. The Colony features Watson as a woman who tries to infiltrate a cult to save her husband (Daniel Brühl). It was released at three theaters in the UK and is mainly being distributed by home-streaming and on demand.

Watson’s first major adult lead role post-Harry Potter, the movie premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year under the name Colonia. A slightly wider release, it hit 27 US cinemas earlier this year and made just $15,709 over its entire release.
