Moonlight Named Best Picture by Boston Online Film Critics

2016 is coming to an end and it is pretty clear that it is will be a two horse race in terms of Best Picture. Whether it is L.A., New York, and now Boston, La La Land and Moonlight are racking up awards. For the Boston Online Film Critics Association, the honor of this year’s best film goes to Moonlight, which earned six Golden Globe nominations yesterday, also won Best Supporting Actor honors for Mahershala Ali and Best Ensemble for the Cast in weekend voting. The movie also was named Best Picture over the weekend by the African American Film Critics Association and by the San Francisco Film Critics Circle.

Meanwhile, La La Land’s Damien Chazelle was named Best Director for the film. Best Actor and Actress honors went to Casey Affleck and Isabelle Huppert, while Michelle Williams was named Best Supporting actress.
