Janis Joplin’s life is coming to the big screen and Michelle Williams (My Week with Marilyn) may portray the iconic singer. The upcoming film directed by Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene) is based on the book Love, Janis, which inspired a stage musical of that same name. Written by Joplin’s sister, Laura, Love, Janis is built around a series of letters written by Janis to her family.
No word yet on if Williams is officially on board or when the film will debut.
