Michael Jackson’s Life Getting The Movie Treatment With Full Support Of His Estate

This was bound to happen sooner later but Michael Jackson’s life is finally going to get the movie treatment & the project has the full support of MJ’s estate.

Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King has secured from the Michael Jackson estate the rights to make a film about the icon’s life & has full access to all of his music as well. King’s GK Films has employed three-time Oscar-nominated writer John Logan, who penned Martin Scorsese’s The Aviator, to write the script.

Even though MJ’s estate is on board, the film isn’t intended to be a sanitized rendering of Jackson’s life. The goal is to offer up a complex look at a very complicated, albeit very talented, pop icon. The estate will not be involved in the development of the screenplay from Logan, Oscar-nominated for writing Aviator, Scorsese’s Hugo and Ridley Scott’s Best Picture winner Gladiator. He and King will shape the script before setting it at a studio.
