Meghan Markle’s First Post-Royal Gig is Narrating Disney+ Documentary Elephant

Meghan Markle is done with her senior royal duties at the end of this month and she’s already got her first gig lined up. She’ll be narrating Disneynature’s Elephant documentary set to premiere on April 3rd on Disney+ in honor of Earth Month. Natalie Portman will lend her voice to the Dolphin Reef documentary also premiering that same day, along with Penguins, which had a theatrical release last year.

Additional Disneynature titles for Earth month include In the Footsteps of ElephantA Life on the Edge and Diving with Dolphins, which will also give viewers behind-the-scenes access into the unique filmmaking process of all three films.

Elephant focuses on the African elephant Shani and her son Jomo as they move with a herd across hundreds of miles in the Kalahari Desert. Dolphin Reef follows the life of Echo, a bottlenose dolphin in the Pacific, who navigates the underworld. Penguins is a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family.
