As first confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Downton Abbey alum Matthew Goode has joined the cast of The Crown for season two. The show tells the story of Queen Elizabeth II and recently won a Golden Globe.
Goode will play Antony Armstrong-Jones, better known as Lord Snowdon, the photographer who was married to Princess Margaret (Vanessa Kirby) from 1960 until 1978. The couple, who had two children together, divorced after 18 years of marriage. Snowdon died earlier this year at the age of 86.
