Matt Reeves to Reboot The Batman Franchise and Replace Ben Affleck

In what may be the best news for fans of Batman, it looks like the capped crusader may be rebooted once more, only this time away from the DCEU. The surprising news however, is that Ben Affleck is rumored to be replaced as Bruce Wayne.

While rumors have long persisted that Reeves was looking elsewhere for a new Caped Crusader since being hired to take over the film, nothing has yet to be confirmed. However, according to Deadline, reeves may have gotten his wish.

The report suggests Reeves will be rebooting Batman for a standalone franchise which means that he may no longer be a part of the DCEU.

It’s believed that new chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group Toby Emmerich wants to continue along the lighthearted, inspirational feel of Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman, rather than Snyder’s darn tone.
