While Wednesday night, the He-Man franchise and upcoming Masters of the Universe, received a release date of 2019, it also received some bad news about the man who was lined up to direct the film. It was announced that McG was out as director of Masters Of The Universe. While the director had been attached to the project since the early stages, it was announced just a few hours after the initial report of the release date of the film that McG was out as director. The studio will now begin its search for a new Masters Of The Universe director, although there are no reported front-runners at this time.
