Mark Wahlberg Is Leaving The Transformers Franchise After The Last Knight

The latest installment in the over stuffed Transformer franchise The Last Knight is set to release this week. With the release of the film comes news that this will be Mark Wahlberg’s last time in the franchise.  Mark Wahlberg recently came out and admitted that The Last Knight, Wahlberg revealed:

“This is the last one. This is the last Transformers. Michael Bay has vowed that this is it. So I get my life back.”!

While the franchise is set to continue, Wahlberg is not the only person leaving the franchise, Michael Bay has vowed that this is his final installment as well.  Bay stated on  Fandango:

“I’ve done it enough, and I’ve had a great time doing it. I’m going out with a bang on this one, and I feel like you gotta go out while you’re ahead, you know. I think I’ve had a good run, and I’ve got a lot of other movies I want to do.”

Next up for the franchise is a Bumble Bee prequel set in the 1980’s.
