Mark Hamill To Voice Chucky In Child’s Play Reboot

Some interesting news came out of WonderCon over the weekend. During a video message which is attached below this post, Mark Hamill will be providing the voice of Chucky for the Child’s Play reboot.

Hamill didn’t give us a taste of what he’ll bring to the table as the new Chucky, but he did give quite a sinister look at the end of the video announcement. Hamill is no stranger to voice work & is considered by many to be one of the best incarnations of The Joker via his voice acting as the character on Batman: The Animated Series. I think the reboot needed some good news on its side because so many people are still on the fence & this is the kind of news that may get some people interested.

Also starring in Child’s Play is Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), who gives her son a new Buddi doll for his birthday, unaware that this doll is about to bring hell into their lives. Gabriel Bateman and Brian Tyree Henry also star in this reimagining of the horror classic from 1988, which could kick off a whole new franchise of toy-based terror.

Child’s Play hits screens on June 21
