M. Night Shyamalan’s Upcoming Thriller Receives A Summer 2021 Release Date

After 2019’s disappointing Glass, it’s safe to say the excitement for the latest from M. Night Shyamalan is quite subdued. On Tuesday, the announcement details for his latest film were revealed.

Universal has set July 23, 2021, as the release date for M. Night Shyamalan’s untitled thriller, which stars Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, and Vicky Krieps.

Shyamalan is independently financing the film as he did for his most recent titles, Glass, Split, and The Visit. The trio carried a combined budget of $35 million and went on to cumulatively gross more than $600 million at the box office. The move to the summer shows Universal’s confidence in the director’s box office appeal.
