Luke Cage Season 2 To Bring Back Comanche

It looks like Comanche is returning for the second season of the Netflix original series, Luke Cage.

According to Black Film, former NFL running back turned actor Thomas Q. Jones will reprise his roles as the comic book villain.Jones’ Comanche first appeared in the first season of Luke Cage, mostly in flashbacks to Luke Cage’s time at Seagate Prison. In prison Comanche served as corrupt prison guard Albert Rackham’s enforcer alongside Shades Alvarez.

As the first season concluded, Shades was out of prison and helping Mariah Dillard run Harlem’s criminal underworld and according to the report regarding his season 2 status, Comanche appears to be out of prison as well and could be back to running with Shades. A recent set photo shared by Black Film showed Jones alongside Rossi and Lucy Liu, who is directing the first episode of season two.

The announcement of Comanche’s return to the series coincides with news earlier this week that Simone Missick is returning as Misty Knight along with the reveal that Misty will be sporting her bionic arm from comics.
