The Lost Boys TV Series in Development

It looks like the CW is developing a new TV series based on The Lost Boys,  the 1987 cult classic film about vampires.  Rob Thomas, iZombie’s showrunner, will be writing the series’ scripts  The show will be developed through Spondoolie Productions and Gulfstream Television in association with Warner Bros. Television since WB originally distributed the film. The new series

“will seek to tell a story spanning 70 years, each season taking place in one decade.”

The first season is said to be set in San Francisco during 1967, a famously turbulent era in American history. So far, there’s no word on whether any original cast members from The Lost Boys will star in CW’s remake or even when the show is set to air. Are fans of the cult classic excited for this show?
