Henry Cavill In Talks To Officially Return As Superman

Now here is some DC news I can get behind. “Deadline” is reporting that Henry Cavill is in talks to return as Superman in the DC Universe.

This will not be a standalone film & what’s being set up is that he could cameo or appear in a larger capacity in an upcoming DC project. As of now, there is also no Man of Steel sequel in the works as well.

So here is where the speculation begins. When will Cavill make this appearance? Wonder Woman 1984 & The Suicide Squad are both wrapped so he won’t be appearing there. From what we know, he won’t be appearing in Matt Reeves’ The Batman so that’s out too. That leaves us with Shazam! 2, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam or Aquaman 2, which are the next productions to be prepped once COVID-19 safety restrictions lift.

Henry Cavill has played Superman in Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice & Justice League. Zack Snyder announced that his director’s cut of Justice League is heading to HBO Max in 2021 although the actors aren’t expected to return for any reshoots at this time.
