Living Biblically Pulled From CBS’ Schedule

Despite not officially being canceled, Living Biblically is essentially dead at CBS. The network has pulled the low-rated comedy series from its schedule. The series will be pulled effective immediately, with The Big Bang Theory repeats taking over its slot.

The move is not a surprise. Living Biblically is CBS’ least-watched series this season and tied for last place in adults 18-49 (Live+same day). Through its eight airings to date, Living Biblically averaged 4.2 million viewers and a 0.65 18-49 rating (L+SD).

Living Biblically is part of a Monday night problem for CBS. The night of comedy has been struggling since it started last fall and none of the series on the night (Kevin Can Wait, Man With a Plan, Superior Donuts & Scorpion) received early renewals. They will have to wait until May to find out their fate although Kevin Can Wait and Man With a Plan are likely to return despite the delay.

Living Biblically stars Jay R. Ferguson as Chip Curry, a modern-day man at a crossroads in his life who decides to live strictly in accordance with the Bible.
