Jordan Vogt-Roberts To Direct A Live-Action Gundam Film @ Netflix

After a few years since its release, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Kong: Skull Island director and Legendary Entertainment and is teaming for a live-action Gundam movie at Netflix.

While details related to the project are being kept under wraps, Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last ManRunawaysPaper GirlsSaga) is writing the script and will serve as executive producer.

The live-action adaptation of the popular anime series will stream on Netflix globally except in China where Legendary will distribute the film. The series was created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and Sunrise and is described as a

“space opera depicting a battle waged between massive mechs and armies of space colonies fighting for independence from Earth.”
