Joker Sequel in the Works

Since the initial box office success of Joker upon the films release in October, rumors of a sequel have been circulating many outlets. While nothing had been confirmed, the films record setting billion dollar world wide box office may have changed things. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Todd Phillips is in talks to reprise his role as director for a second Joker film with he and Scott Silver, who wrote the Joker screenplay,  returning to write the follow-up.

Warner Bros. has sequel options in place for Joker star Joaquin Phoenix, who has emerged as a strong contender in the Oscar best actor race. While it was first reported by Hollywood Reporter, Warners and Phillips have declined to comment on the potential sequel thus far.
