John Hurt loses battle with Cancer at 77

John Hurt dies at 77 years of age due to pancreatic cancer.  He was diagnosed with the cancer in June of 2015 and was declared in remission a couple of months later in October. unfortunately we are sadden by the news of his passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

John Hurt was a tremendous actor best known for his roles as Mr. Ollivander in the Harry Potter series and John Merrick in The Elephant Man, in which he was nominated for 2 Oscars for his performance in the classic film.  He recently finished filming is last movie, The Good Night, and was in the process of playing a role in the upcoming history drama, Darkest Hour.  Even though he is no longer with us his work will always be remembered and forever influence the film industry, he will be missed.
