John Carpenter Confirms There Has Been Talks Of A Sequel To The Fog

John Carpenter’s filmography is full of hits through the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. One of those films is The Fog. The film was so popular, it spawned a remake in the mid-2000’s and its safe to say, the remake is nowhere near the original entry. The film told the story of strange, glowing fog that swept over a small coastal town in California, bringing with it the vengeful ghosts of mariners who were deliberately killed in a shipwreck 100 years before.

With Halloween receiving a direct sequel from David Gordon Green in 2018, there’s been talk of a similar approach to John Carpenter’s other films, and while speaking with NME recently, Carpenter confirmed that could include The Fog.

There’s been talk of a sequel to The Fog. There’s been talk of sequels for a bunch of my movies. They just haven’t happened yet because of various reasons. But yeah, we’ve talked about them and I’m open to them.

I would absolutely be down for a sequel to The Fog, as the film could fall in line with the atmospheric horror films we are accustomed to today.
