Jake Gyllenhaal In Talks To Star In Road House Remake

Road House is an 80’s staple of cinema that has continued to be a blindspot for me. While I am aware of its popularity, it’s a film that I’ve yet to see. With that being said, it looks like I better get on that soon as Deadline has reported that the Road House remake is moving forward with Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal in talks to star. Not only that, but Doug Liman is also in talks to direct the remake.

The original Road House starred Patrick Swayze and there have been various attempts at remaking the film over the years. No word on whether this version of the Road House project will be a straight-up remake or a new take on the concept.
