Impeachment: American Crime Story Begins Casting More Key Roles

Impeachment: American Crime Story, which has already cast three major lead roles some time ago, has now added to more names to the cast of the limited series. Billy Eichner will be playing journalist Matt Drudge while Betty Gilpin has been cast to play conservative media pundit Ann Coulter.

The third season of American Crime Story will be based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President. The book details the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky sex scandal. Beanie Feldstein will star as Lewinsky, Clive Owen as Bill Clinton,  Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones & Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp

Impeachment: American Crime Story was set to premiere during the height of the next presidential election but it has been pushed back for creative reasons. FX is still firmly behind the project and wants to make sure it is given the time to get every aspect right. Sarah Burgess is writing and will serve as EP with Richard Shepard, who directs, Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, Larry Karaszewski, Scott Alexander, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Sarah Paulson. Lewinsky, Feldstein, Henrietta Conrad, and Jemima Khan are producing.
