Hilary Duff Returning For Lizzie McGuire Revival Series On Disney+

This is what dreams are made of! At least that’s what fans of Lizzie McGuire are probably saying after this recent news. It has been announced that Hilary Duff is returning for a Lizzie McGuire revival series on Disney+.

In the reimagined version of the sitcom, a sequel to the 2001 Disney Channel series, Lizzie McGuire (Duff) is a 30-year-old millennial navigating life in New York City. Like the original series, it will include the familiar animated version of a young Lizzie who offers up funny, revealing commentary on what 30-year-old Lizzie is really thinking. The sequel series comes from the original series’ creator Terri Minsky. It is the first project under a new overall deal Minsky has signed with Disney Channel.

Duff is in a series regular role on Darren Star’s hit TV Land comedy series Younger, which was recently renewed for a seventh season. Under a waiver granted by TV Land/Viacom, Duff will be able to do both Younger and Lizzie McGuire.
