Halloween Kills Shifts To Day & Date Release in Theaters & Peacock

After having its world premier at the Venice Film Festival, Universal Studios has now shifted its release plans for Halloween Kills. Variety has confirmed that the film will debut on Peacock on the same day as its theatrical release.

The film stars  Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, and is is scheduled to debut on Oct. 15. The scary sequel will be available to Peacock Premium subscribers at no extra fee. The service, which launched in 2020, runs at $4.99 or $9.99 per month.

Universal first deployed a day-and-date strategy on Peacock earlier this summer with its animated kid’s movie The Boss Baby: Family Business.

It’s safe to say this is MAJOR news.
