If you were one of the few to check out the Black Christmas remake over the weekend, you were treated with a 30-second teaser for A Quiet Place Part II. That teaser has now made its way online and it comes with the announcement that the first full trailer will kickoff 2020 on New Year’s Day.
The teaser doesn’t reveal much but it does show some of the Abbott family (played by Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe) still trying to live in total silence as the threat they encountered in the first film appears to be still lurking, especially as Evelyn’s foot makes a possible monster-alerting noise at the end of the clip.
John Krasinski is back in the director’s chair for the sequel and he also penned the script. Here is the official plot synopsis from Paramount Pictures:
“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
A Quiet Place Part II hits screens on March 20, 2020. Check out the film’s first official key art below.
